North East STEM Academy (NESTEM), located at 10918 1/2 Bentley St, Houston, TX 77093, is an innovative middle school for grades 6-8, dedicated to academic excellence with a strong focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). As part of the RYSS Public School District, NESTEM provides a well-rounded, hands-on learning experience, where students are encouraged to think critically, solve real-world problems, and build the skills necessary for future success. In addition to rigorous academics, students have opportunities to participate in sports, kayaking, and leadership-building activities that foster teamwork, confidence, and personal growth.

At NESTEM, we believe that student success starts at home, which is why we are committed to supporting not just our students, but the entire family. As part of Tejano Center, a nonprofit organization that provides critical social services and resources in education, health, and housing, we ensure that our families have the support they need to thrive. We know that when families are strong and stable, students can focus on their education and reach their full potential.

The RYSS Public School District was one of the first open-enrollment charter schools in Texas, and since its founding, it has grown into a recognized leader in education. As part of a National Blue Ribbon Award winning system, RYSS' approach has been nationally recognized for academic excellence and student achievement, particularly for those from under-resourced communities.
